I purchased a simular trimmer from Tanaka after Christmas. I was impressed at first but after shutting off and restarting. The trimmer head wouldn’t spin. I would have to hit it on the ground several times to get the shaft to go back into the trimmer head. Called Tanaka and they wanted me to take it apart and fix. The closest authorized repair facility is a hour away. I called them and they said it might not be covered under warranty since it was bought off Amazon. It has been 6 weeks and still no trimmer. By the way it is a heavy trimmer!.

I purchased this kit 3 months ago and it has performed as I had hoped. It starts easily, has plenty of power, and it is easy to change tools.
I researched cheaper models and it has been well worth the extra expense.
